The Grand Opening of the Pulkovo Sky business center was held on Thursday October 29. Guests included representatives of the St. Petersburg local authorities, members of the Finnish Consulate and other Finnish organizations, and top managers from leading Russian, Finnish and other foreign companies with international brand names. In all about 250 guests attended the Opening.
An excursion around the business center, demonstrating its technical advantages, exclusive views, efficient floor plans and professional building management system, was organized for guests.
The tenth floor where the ceremony was held was designed in bright colors and warm lights, allowing each guest to enjoy the comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
''You can see the Finnish touch in the design and operation of the Pulkovo Sky business center. However, design and technology can provide only a framework for the operation of a successful business center. The most important thing, the soul of a business center, comes from the people who run it. I hope – and am very confident – that our Pulkovo Sky team is capable of creating the kind of atmosphere and practices that will make our tenants happy,'' Riitta Ekengren, EKE Group President, said in her welcome speech.
The entertainment program included performances by popular St. Petersburg groups. The high spot of the program was a performance by the winner of Eurovision 2009, Alexander Rybak. The singer sang in Russian, Swedish, Belarusian and English, and all the guests had the opportunity to have their photo taken with him.
''Two years ago we started construction works, and on October 23, 2008 we celebrated the raising of the roof. Today we have invited our guests to celebrate the completion of the first office build. It was a challenge but I believe we have managed to build one of the best business centers in St. Petersburg. I don’t think any other buildings in the city are equipped with such modern engineering systems,'' Andrei Hitrov, Pulkovo Sky’s Managing Director, said.
That same day, Pulkovo Sky also received the Acceptance Certificate for the first stage of the project (Building B). The certificate was handed over to Andrei Hitrov at the ceremony.
''Your Grand Opening was truly Grand,'' our guests wrote in their letters of appreciation. We can therefore be confident that the ceremony was a success. And we will do our best to make Pulkovo Sky truly the best business center in St. Petersburg.
